MINISTRY OPPORTUNITY
During the 2019-20 school year, Central will once again sponsor students in the Backpack Buddies program by providing backpacks filled with nutritious, kid-friendly groceries for the weekend.
If you would like to be a part of this on-going mission, a grocery list of suitable food/snack items can be found near the Backpack Buddies drop-off in The Crossing (located on the 2nd floor).
If you would prefer to make a monetary donation, we will gladly purchase the grocery items for you. A container for donations will be near the drop-off.
CENTRAL'S CASSEROLE MINISTRY
Use your cooking skills to benefit members of CUMC through our casserole ministry. This is an ongoing ministry and an opportunity to share God’s love and comfort through food. The donated food items will go to members who have had an illness, injury, death or birth in the family, or simply fallen on tough times.
Submission Instructions:
Please contact Katie McDaniel at 601.214.4113 or katiesmcdaniel@gmail.com if you need assistance.

UPCOMING EVENT:
MUSIC FOR LIFE - AFRICAN CHILDREN'S CHOIR
Come join the African Children’s Choir as they perform in our community during their U.S.
Tour! The Choir will be performing at our church on Wednesday, May 6, at 7:00 pm. Come and
experience a performance that shows the beauty, dignity and potential of each African child!
Admission will be free for all ages; a free-will offering will follow the Choir’s concert.
The African Children’s Choir melts the hearts of audiences with their charming smiles, beautiful
voices and lively African songs and dances. The “Just As I Am” tour combines traditional hymns
with African cultural sounds and a stunning visual story of God’s faithfulness. Nearly every
performance is concluded with a thunderous standing ovation! In spite of the tragedy that has
marred their young lives, the children are radiant with hope, musically gifted and always
wonderfully entertaining.
The free-will offering will help support the Music for Life Institute. The African Children’s Choir
has been Music for Life’s major international program during its 34 year history. Music for Life
(MFL) has relief and development programs in seven African countries. MFL has currently
educated over 52,000 children and hundreds of thousands of lives have been impacted by their
international relief and development programs. Don’t miss out on this uniquely immersive worship experience through song, dance and video story-telling!
