FAMILY LEGACY RETREAT

CLICK HERE TO REGISTER FOR FAMILY LEGACY RETREAT

I hope everyone is excited about our upcoming Family Legacy Retreat scheduled for March 31-April 2.  This weekend, at Timber Creek Camp in Pulaski, is a unique retreat designed for the whole family regardless of age.  Each family will stay together in a private cabin which offers heat/AC and single and full-size beds.

Parents and children come together to experience this weekend consisting of group activities, breakout sessions, trails to walk, a rock-climbing wall, a bow and arrow range, canoeing, basketball, octaball, and, most importantly, a retreat designed to give your family the "much needed" time away!  During the time when parents meet, older children are divided into age groups while children one to four years of age are provided with nursery and separate activities.

Registration is non-refundable.  If you have any questions, please contact Sabrina Williams.

COFFEE WITH THE PASTORS

The Pastors and staff of Central offer Coffee with the Pastors to give inquirers the opportunity to come together in a small group setting and learn more about Central UMC, its mission, Methodism, and membership expectations. Also, it is a time when we can learn more about you and your family. For those that are attending, there is no obligation to make a commitment, however, you may join at the conclusion of the "coffee" and be baptized if needed.

MISSION PROJECTS

CHURCH-WIDE MISSION PROJECTS

HAITI MISSION TRIP

MAY 20-26, 2017

If you have any questions regarding the mission trip  to Thoman, Haiti, please contact Jimmy Carle [jimmycarle@comcast.net] or Kristina Crabtree [kristina@cumcmdn.org].

HAITI SPONSOR

Did you know you may sponsor a team member going to Haiti or give to the Haiti mission fund directly? By doing so, you  will be a huge blessing and participating in the kingdom process of spreading the  gospel.

How you can help

  • Donate money to  sponsor an individual or to the Haiti Mission team through the church office or  through the offering with memo “Haiti Mission.”

IMAGINE NO MALARIA

Lent is a time when we “give up” something in order to grow in our faith.  But when we give up something, there seems to be a void – an emptiness.  During this Lenten season, Central will be challenged to give up something. What if we gave up the cost of a meal, a cup of coffee, etc., and donated this money to our “Imagine No Malaria” campaign?  What a big difference we can make in the life of others by giving so little!

If you would like to be a part of this challenge, please take one of the small red boxes [available in the Crossing] to your place of business or home to collect donations during the Lenten season.  We would like for you to return the donation boxes on Palm Sunday, April 9th, so we can consecrate them in all three worship services.

While June may seem a long way off, volunteer signup is underway for this year’s Vacation Bible School. We need volunteers! The entire 2nd floor of Central will be transformed into Rome, as we study the Apostle Paul and the underground church.

We are currently in need of help with props and decorations as well as MANY hands for set-up on Sunday, June 18th, and the week of Vacation Bible School.

Please begin to prayerfully consider your role in this year’s VBS. If you want to help, please take a moment to write down your contact information (at our sign-up in the Crossing) or simply contact Erin Honeycutt, Cynthia Williams, or Sabrina Williams (601) 479-2178.
